Coop to Kitchen
Join Signe Langford, chef and author of Happy Hens and Fresh Eggs: Keeping Chickens in the Kitchen Garden, to learn about the many benefits of keeping backyard chickens and the amazing ways you can cook with eggs.
Signe and farmer Linda will take you on a walkabout in our pasture to visit with the Headwater’s flock of heritage breed chickens and their newly constructed Eggmobile. Signe is a great lover of her feathered “ladies” and has raised her own backyard chickens for many years. She has funny anecdotes and lots of tips to share.
We’ll then wander back to the kitchen to enjoy a demonstration of eggs 3-ways – quick and easy, savoury and sweet!
Signe will demonstrate a Classic Hollandaise Sauce, Homemade Mayonnaise, a Simple Savoury Soufflé and for dessert – Choux Cream Éclair.
An egglicious day!
