Welcoming the new baby goats

We had planned on going skiing…

The sweaters are vital to keeping the baby goats warm. Thank you Tina and a student, aged 7 for making this beautiful coat!

Our goats are popping and so far we’ve welcomed three new baby goats to the barn. Not every goat is perfect – this wee lad didn’t have the strength to stand and had no suckling smarts so we relocated him to our kitchen.

Every year we host at least one baby goat and for the most part our cats & dogs ignored this guest (Roxy our Sheppard/Collie did stand guard).

The boy bounced back and was welcomed by his mother in the barn this morning.
